This quilt was part of Art Design Craft:TMQG Quilt Showcase 2026.
This quilt started out as a collection of petal-shaped blocks. I was practicing sewing curved shapes with fabrics that I had on hand, varying the sizes as I went. When bringing the blocks together to form a quilt, I really enjoyed improvising the layout. Depending on how I placed the blocks, different patterns would emerge: round bubbles, scattered leaves, sparkle shapes. I liked this "sparkle" motif the most, and I decided to emphasize that shape throughout the composition.
