Note: This is the last session for the 2025 Community Still Life Drawing season. We will celebrate with a little pot luck after some drawing time - please bring a small snack to share with the group!
Community Still Life Drawing offers folks a chance to connect with others while making art. Each session features a still life arrangement to focus on, guided warm up sketches, and lots of time for sustained drawing. We will share our amazing work with each other at the end. All skill levels welcome.
What you'll need to bring:
A sketchbook or some paper
Your favourite drawing supplies: pencil/ watercolour/ charcoal etc (basic materials will be available to share)
Appropriate clothing for the weather - we will be outdoors and it gets cool in the evenings
A small snack to share with the group (we will first draw the treats and then enjoy them together!)
Location: The Milky Way Garden is located at 87 Milky Way Lane, which is the alley directly behind the Parkdale Branch Library (1303 Queen St West, at Brock St).

About this workshop series: Sarah Aranha first offered Community Still Life Drawing in 2022, with the intention of offering folks a small break, to connect with their creative spirit, and to build community. This volunteer-run series is held in the community-owned Milky Way Garden in Toronto and is supported by the wonderful staff of Greenest City.
